Verbe fara forma continua in engleza

In general, in limba engleza, forma continua a verbelor este folosita pentru a descrie ce se intampla intr-un anume moment. Exista cateva categorii de verbe totusi, in limba engleza, care nu se folosesc deloc, sau foarte rar, la forma continua, cum ar fi:

1. Verbe care exprima stari sufletesti sau mentale:

to believe = a crede, to dislike = a-i displacea, to doubt = a se indoi, to imagine = a-si imagina, to know = a sti, a cunoaste, to like = a placea, to love = a iubi, to hate = a uri, to prefer = a prefera, to realize = a realiza, a constientiza, to recognize = a recunoaste, to remember = a-si aminti, to suppose = a presupune, to understand = a intelege, to want = a vrea, to wish = a dori, a ura

 

2. Verbe care exprima simturi:

to appear = a i se parea, to hear = a auzi, to see = a vedea, to seem = a parea, to smell = a mirosi, to sound = a (ii) suna, to taste = a gusta

 

3. Verbe legate de comunicare:

to agree = a fi de acord, to astonish = a uimi, to deny = a nega, to disagree = a nu fi de acord, to impress = a impresiona, to mean = a intelege, to please = a multumi (pe cineva), to promise = a promite, to satisfy = a satisface, to surprise = a surprinde

 

4. Verbe care exprima alte stari:

to be = a fi, to belong = a(i) apartine, to concern = a ingrijora, a nelinisti, a avea legatura cu, to consist = a consta in, to contain = a contine, a cuprinde, to cost = a costa, to depend = a depinde, to deserve = a merita, to fit = a corespunde, to include = a include, to involve = a implica, to lack = a nu avea, a-i lipsi, to matter = a conta, a avea importanta, to need = a avea nevoie, to owe = a datora, to own = a detine,  to possess = a poseda, a detine

 

Exista, de asemenea, anumite verbe cu mai multe sensuri, care la un anumit sens nu accepta forma continua, insa o accepta pentru un alt sens/inteles.

Verbe fara forma continua in engleza (Exemple):

1. I feel I deserve to be treated like a queen. (a crede, a considera)

Consider ga merit sa fiu tratata ca si o regina.

I am not feeling very well today. (a se simit)

Nu ma simt foarte bine astazi.

2. After a long debate, he finally sees what I am talking about. (a intelege)

Dupa o dezbatere lunga, in sfarsit intelege despre ce vorbesc.

I am seeing my hair stylist this afternoon. (a vizita, a avea intalnire)

Ma intalnesc cu stilistul meu dupa-amiaza aceasta.

3. He thinks I should give up smoking. (a crede, a avea o opinie)

El crede ca trebuie sa ma las de fumat.

Mike is thinking about a serious decision right now. (a gandi)

Mike se gandeste la o hotarare serioasa chiar acum.

4. The baby appears to be better now. (a parea)

Bebelusul pare sa fie mai bine acum.

My brother is appearing in the show tonight. (a aparea)

Fratele meu apare in emisiune diseara.

5. It looks so difficult to handle this machinery. (a parea)

Pare atat de greu sa manuiesti aparatura aceasta.

I am looking at the snow falling. (a privi, a se holba)

Privesc cum cade zapada.

6. The cake tastes so good (a avea gust).

Prajitura are un gust atat de bun.

I am tasting the food as I am cooking it. (a gusta)

Eu gust mancarea in timp ce o gatesc.
